The name Tanzania derives from the names of the two states - Tanganyika and Zanzibar - that united in 1964 to form the present-day United Republic of Tanzania.

In Tanzania, there is religious freedom, equal rights, and opportunities for both Muslims and Christians to worship and propagate their faiths according to Operation World.
