TENTS FOR PREACHERS |

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| A tent is a valuable tool for the national preacher. In the winter months it can keep him warm and help him to avoid sicknesses. In the wet months it can keep him dry and also protect him from malaria. Many national preachers suffer from malaria every year and some have died from it. A tent can protect the national preacher from the mosquitoes that carry this deadly disease. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

HUNGER RELIEF FUND |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The current agricultural situation in Africa is bleak. Due to the insufficient rains, the corn crop has suffered severely. This is of particular concern since nsima (made from corn meal) is the staple food. The conditions in Malawi and Mozambique are not much better. For the past two years both of these nations have experienced drought conditions. Inflation has caused the price of food to skyrocket beyond the reach of many. Gospelink preachers handle all the food distribution. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| PREACHERS' CONTINGENCY FUND | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Under the National Preacher Sponsorship Program, preachers minister for an entire quarter and then receive their compensation. Occasionally a sponsor must terminate their assistance during the quarter. When this occurs, steps are immediately taken to get the preacher re-sponsored. Sometimes this may take several months. The Preachers’ Contingency Fund has been established to “make up” the difference until another sponsor can be located for the preacher. We cannot in clear conscience let the preacher and his family go without! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| BICYCLES FOR A PREACHER OR HIS WIFE | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Two wheels and a metal frame can make a world of difference in the furtherance of the gospel. Imagine the time savings. They can get there faster and can stay longer. Imagine the difference in their productivity. Rather than arriving tired from the journey and from carrying their heavy load, they arrive refreshed and ready to go. Gospel literature, Bibles, and visual aids can be easily transported. Research done by one organization revealed that the addition of a single bicycle increased the average family’s income by nearly 15%. Imagine what it could do for the preacher's ministry! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| BIBLES AND GOSPEL TRACTS FOR NEW CONVERTS | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| During 2004, Gospelink preachers were able to present the gospel in over 17,000 new areas. As would be expected, thousands of people responded favorably to the message of the gospel. In order for these people to grow spiritually, they must hear and study God’s Word. In addition to what they may be able to learn at church, they need a Bible, or at least a New Testament, to enhance their spiritual growth. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEMS |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Many times throughout the year the national preachers have opportunities to present the gospel to large gatherings of people, such as at a market area or a public school. A public address system would be extremely beneficial at such venues. This system would include 2 speakers, 1 amplifier with a digital effects processor, a tape input/output, an auxiliary input/ output, and 2 microphones. In addition, to make it easier to transport, the entire unit fits inside a large canvas suitcase on wheels. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
