Quality Assurance Director Needed at AIU
Quality Assurance Director Training
Lawrence and his wife, Edith, joined the AIU campus in July 2022. In May this year (2023), the family was blessed with a daughter, and Alisha is her name. Lawrence serves as assistant to the dean of the school of theology at AIU, and he considers it a great privilege.
Recently, during the 2023 institutional audit, the Higher Education Authority (HEA) advised AIU to establish a Quality Assurance Directorate to facilitate quality service delivery. The directorate was thus established, and Lawrence was appointed as Director, Quality Assurance. Additionally, a Quality Assurance Committee was set up to enhance a quality culture in compliance with the HEA guidelines and to make AIU one of the great theological schools in Zambia and beyond. In August 2023, Lawrence was sponsored to attend a Quality Assurance Conference in Livingstone, and AIU is currently implementing some of the things learned from the conference. Thus, to lead the directorate proficiently, AIU embarks on sponsoring Lawrence to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma – Quality Assurance in Higher Education from the University of Lusaka beginning in January 2024. Lawrence remains optimistic about this academic journey to serve AIU better. Therefore, this is a beneficial initiative to build a quality culture at AIU, to satisfy the needs of the stakeholders and the industry, and to make AIU a great theological school to the glory of God.
The needed funding for Laurance is $1,000.
