Poultry Expansion Project

The Poultry operation at AIU is one of the most important areas which helps to support the students and families at AIU and provides valuable training for students in how to setup and run a small poultry farm as they go out after graduation to do ministry.

We have the opportunity to expand this area of the ministry to make it profitable and provide more to sustain the college in the future. Christopher Mtonga is the Business operations manager he has put forth proposals to expand and develop our poultry operations.

  • Expansion of the Broilers program to a capacity of 5,000 produced each cycle.

    • Startup Investment: $55,125

    • Annual Net Income Projected: $129,634

    • ROI of approximately 1yr and 6 months.

  • Adding Layers to the Poultry program at AIU

    • Startup Investment: $68,000

    • Annual Net Income: $98,247

    • ROI of approximately 2yrs

  • As these projects are initiated there is also the proposal to add feed processing capacity which will further reduce the cost of poultry operations.
