Equipped For Ministry!
Juniors Receive Logos Bible Software
God has once again shown His faithfulness in the life of AIU. As the second term began, the 2025 Junior class received an incredible gift: Logos Bible Software, generously donated by Mr. William Fiess. This thoughtful act has deeply encouraged the students and provided them with a powerful tool for their present studies and future ministry.
In Zambia, high-quality Bible study tools like Logos are often far beyond the financial reach of students, clergy, and theologians. This makes the gift especially meaningful, as it fills a real and widespread need. The Logos Bible Software comes loaded with Greek and Hebrew Bibles, Bible atlases, concordances, commentaries, and multiple English Bible translations—more than 3,000 books and resources in total. It’s a treasure trove for any serious Bible student.
Not only will this software greatly benefit the Juniors in their theological training, but it also contributes toward AIU’s compliance with the Higher Education Authority’s standards, especially in the area of online library development.
To ensure students get the most out of Logos, Mr. Fiess is also personally leading them through a ten-week orientation program via weekly Zoom sessions. These Monday meetings are helping students learn how to effectively use the software in their studies and future ministries. The time and effort Mr. Fiess is giving to equip our students is a gift in itself, and we are deeply thankful for his investment in their lives.
As we watch the Lord work in the lives of our Juniors, we are filled with gratitude. This gift is more than just software—it is a launchpad for lifelong ministry. Please join us in praying that these students will continue to grow in their love for God’s Word and their commitment to sharing it with others.
Please pray with us for the junior class at AIU and enjoy the included photos of the Logos orientation session.
“I am very happy to learn Logos. It will help me a lot in my studies here and even after I graduate. This tool is a great resource for Bible students like me, making it easier to study and understand God’s Word. I am thankful to be in this class.”
Sowing Self-sustainability!
AIU’s garden project cultivates food and leaders
One of the most effective routes we’ve explored in our pursuit of self-sustainability is agriculture. We have a well-kept garden in the northwest section of campus that runs year-round with the help of our irrigation systems. Additionally, we grow field crops that are dependent on seasonal rain. We thank God that we have been able to continue our agricultural endeavors on campus.
The garden is essential in helping lower the cost of food at our main cafeteria. Much of our produce is used to prepare meals for students and staff at AIU. Thank you for your generous support and prayers for our agricultural efforts. We continue to labor in the fields, so please pray with us for continued sustenance and the Lord’s strength.
As part of the work scholarship program, many AIU students work in the garden. Our hope is that they will learn skills that will be useful in supporting their own families and ministries in the future.
None of this is possible without the Lord’s blessing! Please join us in prayer as we work to grow the garden department and optimize its capacity to support AIU's operations, even as we move towards self-sustainability as a university.
Growing hearts and minds!
AIU daycare resumes for term two
We’re excited to share that the AIU daycare is back in full swing for its second term! Since launching, this ministry has grown steadily and continues to bless both the AIU campus and nearby villages.
We are currently serving 21 students, spread across five levels:
· Early Childhood Level 1 – 3 learners
· Early Childhood Level 2 – 6 learners
· Grade 1 – 6 learners
· Grade 2 – 4 learners
· Grade 3 – 2 learners
Each year, our numbers continue to grow – evidence of a real need and the impact this ministry is making in our community.
AIU’s daycare is run as a non-profit ministry, with parents contributing only what is needed for daily supplies. Teachers are supported by the university, making it an affordable, high-quality option – especially valuable in rural Zambia, where early education is rare.
We’re thrilled that more families, both on campus and from nearby villages, are taking advantage of this opportunity.
Beyond academics, our curriculum is centered on biblical teaching. We aim to cultivate both the minds and hearts of our young learners, helping them grow in knowledge and in Christ.
With access to a dedicated play park, children also enjoy physical activity and develop friendships – building not only educational skills but a strong sense of community.
We are so thankful for how God has provided for this ministry, and we ask you to pray with us as we continue to expand. Your support makes it possible for children to receive a Christ-centered foundation that will serve them – and their families – for years to come.
Check out the included photos to see the daycare in action – both in the classroom and on the playground!
Teacher Spotlight!
Meet Dr. Stephen and Mrs. Sharon Anderson
We are grateful for the continued impact of Dr. Stephen Anderson, who has now made ten trips to AIU over the past decade, faithfully teaching our students the truths of Scripture and modeling a life of service and commitment.
Dr. Anderson and his wife Sharon have been married for 51 years and live in South Dakota, USA, where they raised their two children, Melissa and Jeremy. Before entering full-time ministry, Dr. Anderson worked in the business world, having earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Minnesota State University. But God had more in store. In 1992, he completed his M.Div. at North American Baptist Seminary, followed by a doctorate in 2003.
Over the years, Dr. Anderson has served in a variety of ministry roles, including discipleship pastor, seminary staff member, and senior pastor in several churches. Today, he serves as an interim pastor at an Evangelical Presbyterian Church, while continuing to pursue one of his deepest passions: training pastors and church leaders around the world.
Dr. Anderson and Sharon have taken part in short-term mission trips across the globe, including Zambia, the Philippines, Ukraine, Mongolia, and Russia, leading Bible conferences and training church leaders. Their shared heart for global ministry led them to start Project ACTS 1:8, a ministry dedicated to providing theological education to pastors in regions with little or no access to formal training.
It was through another visiting professor that Dr. Anderson first heard about AIU. Immediately, he sensed God was opening a door for ministry. In 2015, he made his first trip to campus and taught a course on the Pastoral Epistles—an experience he described as “amazing.” He has returned every year since.
Each visit, Dr. Anderson brings not only his deep theological knowledge but also a pastoral heart and genuine love for our students. His presence continues to encourage, challenge, and inspire the next generation of church leaders across Africa.
We thank God for the faithful partnership of Dr. Stephen and Sharon Anderson, and we look forward to welcoming them again soon.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT!
GEORGE AND NAMWEEBA MUKOBOTO
Dean of AIU School of Theology
George Mukoboto has been on staff since he graduated from AIU in 2014. In that time, he has served in different capacities, including work scholarship supervisor, vehicle maintenance supervisor, outreach supervisor, Bible conference coordinator, and campus pastor. Currently, he serves as dean of AIU’s school of theology. He oversees academic progress, ensures adherence to the academic calendar, and monitors student learning.
“It is a great privilege, and I am grateful to God and leadership for the opportunity to serve at AIU. I appreciate and enjoy Teamwork among colleagues and helping students who are struggling. I have learned respect, teamwork, and patience as I serve the lord and people around me. My job provides strategic direction to AIU’s staff in setting academic priorities and goals. To the students, my office provides leadership in terms of academic advising and the Student Success Center. My office also collaborates with the campus pastors’ office to assist the local church through our student body.”
George has been married to Namweemba (fondly known as Nana around campus) since 2013, and together they have three children: Michaiah, Michelle, and Michael. Nana also serves at AIU as a bookkeeper.
George praises God for his work and family. He desires to continue following God’s leading in his family and ministry. He also praises the Lord for AIU’s significant impact in the lives of students who are being equipped. George was in the first graduate program at AIU, earning his master’s degree in 2023. Shortly after, he enrolled in another graduate program through Temple Seminary in the United States, and completed it in December 2024.
The Mukobotos look forward to seeing God continue growing them into a godly family. Pray with them for God’s leadership and provision in their plans.
STudent SPOTLIGHT!
JOSEPH NCHINGA
Senior
Joseph Nchinga comes from Mbala, a town in the northern part of Zambia. The AIU senior is the firstborn of five siblings in a Christian family. As devoted believers, his parents instilled in him a love for Christian community as they regularly gathered with their church. Despite all of this, Joseph was not saved until later.
Joseph remembers distinctly the circumstances that led up to his salvation. In 2017, he attended a church service and heard the gospel preached fully and clearly. The preacher, speaking from John 3:16 and Ephesians 2, articulated that saving grace that is found only in Christ Jesus. Joseph began to understand that he was not a Christian just by being born into a Christian family; he needed a savior. By God’s grace, Joseph placed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
After his conversion, Joseph began devoting himself more and more to God. When he had the chance, he participated in activities that would help him grow in his spiritual walk. Daily, he was being challenged by what he read in the Bible. He began to love learning God’s Word and hoped to become a preacher.
As he interacted with other mature believers, some advised him to pursue formal theological training in order to be better equipped for the ministry of preaching. By God’s grace, in 2024, he enrolled at AIU.
“Being here at Ambassador International University has impacted me immensely. I have learned to approach Bible with the context in mind, and I look forward to helping others to study Scripture in the same way. It is such a blessing to me. The people at AIU are so helpful, loving, and encouraging – both students and staff alike.”
Joseph desires to serve the Lord faithfully after he graduates from AIU this fall and he is thankful to everyone who has helped him to thrive in his time at AIU. Please pray that Joseph will finish his studies well and that God will use his passion to effectively teach God’s word to others and apply his training to future ministry.
