ORPHANAGE VISIT

AIU’s seniors spread joy and the Word of God as they near graduation.

Just days before graduation, the class of 2025 had the privilege of visiting Land of Hope Orphanage in Lusaka as part of their outreach ministry. The purpose of the visit was to share the Word of God, demonstrate the love of Christ, and bring joy and encouragement to the children through fellowship and acts of kindness.

Throughout the afternoon, the seniors joyfully connected with the children through games and activities that sparked laughter, friendship, and meaningful interaction. They also shared a Bible lesson focusing on Jesus at age twelve and engaged the older children in heartfelt discussions about salvation and faith. The atmosphere was warm and exciting as the children responded with genuine affection—many expressing sadness when it was time for the students to depart. As a tangible expression of support, AIU presented the orphanage with essential food items and gifts to help meet daily needs.

For the graduating seniors, the experience was both eye-opening and spiritually enriching. It offered a valuable opportunity to minister beyond the classroom, practice selfless service, and witness firsthand the transformative power of God’s love. Many described the visit as a humbling, life-shaping encounter that broadened their perspectives and deepened their desire to make a meaningful impact in the world.

The impact of the visit was deeply felt on both sides. The children were reminded that they are loved and cared for by God and that, through faith, they belong to one family in Christ. The message of equality before God, regardless of one’s background or circumstances, brought hope and comfort to many hearts.
— Elijah Mwiinga, AIU Senior

By the grace and providence of God, the visit to Land of Hope Orphanage was a wonderful success—a beautiful expression of Christ’s love through service, compassion, and unity. The ministry team is grateful for the opportunity to partner with Land of Hope and looks forward to future collaborations that continue to bring hope, faith, and joy to many hearts.

WAITING ROOM NEARS COmPLETION!

The wait is almost over for Chifundo Clinic’s latest addition.

Since its opening, Chifundo Clinic has been a tremendous blessing to AIU and the surrounding villages, providing essential healthcare to communities that once had to travel long distances for medical attention. The clinic exists today thanks to the generous support of donors like you whose faithful contributions have made quality medical care accessible to both AIU students and rural families alike.

For many years, however, the clinic has lacked a proper waiting area for patients. Families were often left standing outside in harsh conditions—under the scorching sun, during heavy rains, or in strong seasonal winds—while waiting to be seen.

By God’s providence, this long-awaited project has now made significant progress and is nearing completion. The walls are up, the roof is in place, and key milestones have been reached. Once finished, the new shelter will offer patients and their families a safe, comfortable, and weather-protected space—allowing them to wait for services with dignity. This improvement will not only enhance the patient experience but will also demonstrate AIU’s commitment to holistic care and meaningful community support.

Thank you so much for your prayers, generosity, and partnership! Your support allows AIU to minister in practical, transformative ways. The near-completion of the waiting shelter is a tangible reminder of what faithful giving and God’s provision can accomplish—bringing both physical and spiritual care to our community, as you can see in the pictures.

OUTREACH MINISTRY

AIU students partner with the local church for Gospel advancement.

We continually thank God for the many doors He opens for our students to share the Gospel and serve communities while pursuing their studies at AIU. This term, our outreach teams have made a meaningful impact in rural churches and schools, where their ministry has been met with enthusiasm and genuine spiritual hunger.

Through both the Sunday outreach ministry and the school ministry program, students have faithfully preached, taught, and encouraged believers across various congregations and classrooms. Many have testified to the joy and spiritual growth they have experienced as they put their training into practice.

Participating in school and church outreach has helped me apply what I have learned in class and see God work through me to touch lives.
— Joseph Kalipa, AIU student

The school ministry has now closed for a two-month break and will resume in January, giving students time to rest, reflect, and return with renewed strength. During this period, we pray that the seeds planted in rural communities will continue to grow and that the Lord will sustain the ministries even in the students’ absence.

Thank you for supporting AIU’s outreach department through prayer, financial giving, and encouragement. Your partnership enables students to gain invaluable ministry experience while advancing the Gospel of Christ.

As we look toward the next term, we remain confident that God will continue to use AIU students as vessels of His truth and love wherever He sends them.

“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” – Romans 10:15

CELEBRATING TERM THREE!

There is much to rejoice in as term three draws to a close.

We give praise to the Lord for a blessed and successful third term in 2025. On October 22, our non-graduating students officially concluded the term, and the following day those who wished to return home were able to do so. It was a remarkable and fulfilling season for both students and faculty—marked by academic growth, meaningful learning, and steady spiritual development.

We are especially thankful that our resident students from Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique were able to report to school three months ago and were upheld by God throughout the term without significant difficulties. Their dedication and resilience contributed greatly to the smooth flow of both academic and campus life. The picture shows students attending their term three classes.

With the term now complete, students will enjoy more than two months of break as they prepare for the first term of 2026. Many will remain on campus during the holiday, while others will serve in ministry at their home churches. We invite you to pray for our students—that they would continue serving faithfully in their ministries and return to campus refreshed, motivated, and eager to deepen their understanding of God’s Word in the coming year.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT

BLESSINGS BWALYA

Assistant Campus Pastor

Blessings Bwalya, a 2023 AIU graduate, has continued to serve the University community in meaningful ways since completing his studies. Shortly after graduation, he was retained on staff and now serves as Assistant Campus Pastor. In this role, he provides leadership for the campus community church, oversees chapel programs, and coordinates weekly evangelism at the Chifundo Clinic. He also manages outreach and discipleship initiatives, supports school ministry, offers student counseling, and prepares quarterly reports for the campus pastor’s office.

One of his greatest joys is watching students faithfully serve in village churches and remain committed to biblical preaching. “It is not just about gaining knowledge, but developing an unstoppable desire to serve God,” he said. He also expressed deep gratitude to AIU’s donors and sponsors for sustaining this mission.

Looking ahead, Blessings plans to marry his fiancée next year. As he prepares for this new season, he reflects on how his time at AIU has shaped both his character and his understanding of pastoral ministry. “These experiences have taught me what it truly means to serve God’s people,” he shared with gratitude.

Blessings remains thankful to God for the opportunity to serve in this role and humbly asks for prayers—for strength, wisdom, continued growth in knowledge, and effectiveness in fulfilling his responsibilities.

My heart is greatly challenged and uplifted seeing the impact AIU has on the lives of students and the community. Serving in an office connected to outreach programs allows me to see how students put what they learn into practice, in class, in their work scholarship roles, and in their relationships across campus. I am greatly humbled by all these things and learn to embrace the growth the Lord is bestowing upon me every day through all areas of life at AIU. I am thankful and greatly privileged to be a part of the ministry at AIU.
— Blessings Bwalya, AIU Assistant Campus Pastor

YUNGANA NKOMESHA

Senior

Yungana Nkomesha, a member of AIU’s 2025 graduating class, hails from Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia. He comes from a remarkable family of twenty-two children—six sisters and fifteen brothers—where he is the seventh-born. Growing up in such a large and lively household helped shape his strong sense of community, responsibility, and appreciation for family values.

Raised in a Christian home, Yungana’s spiritual journey took a defining turn in 2016 when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior during an SDA crusade. Since that pivotal moment, he has embraced the teachings of Scripture and continued to grow in his understanding of God. With his dedication, deep faith, and heart for service, Yungana reflects the values AIU seeks to cultivate in its students: spiritual maturity, leadership, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact on the community. Pray with him as he works to finish his studies strong.
