Ethiopia, the second most populous nation in Africa with 120 million people, is a country marked by turmoil, famine, and conflict. It also happens to be home to individuals like Getachew, a Gospelink missionary faithfully sharing the good news of Jesus with those who have never heard. Recently, while leading street evangelism, his team met a woman named Yeshi with whom they shared the Gospel. Yeshi, a prostitute, was resistant at first. However, as she began to ask why they would care to share this message of hope from the Bible with her, the Holy Spirit prompted a radical change in her as she believed in the saving grace of God through the work of Jesus Christ. Yeshi is no longer a prostitute. She is a child of God and is now growing in her newfound faith! Getachew's wife, Berhane, serves as a leader among the women in their local church, where, through ministries of prayer, Bible study, and evangelism, the Lord has worked through her to lead several people to faith in Christ over the last few months. Will you please take time to pray for Getachew, Berhane, and Yeshi? Pray for many more lives in Ethiopia to be changed by Jesus!
